Bloom

** 1/13/16 Top 5 at Crafty Gals Corner! **
** 2/1/16 Winner at Craft-Dee BowZ! **
** 2/15/16 Spotlight DT Favorite at Crafting By Designs! **

Hi everyone! I'm happy to share with you today a Really Reasonable Ribbon DT inspiration project! I created a pretty vintage birthday card using the absolutely gorgeous Baby Pink Seam Binding and Silver Metallic String. I wrinkled this seam binding by spritzing it with water and hitting it with the heat tool for a few seconds to dry it. Seam binding is my all-time favorite ribbon because every bow created with it turns out just beautiful! ;)

Here's a close-up of the gorgeous bow I created with my Bow-it-All v2.0. In keeping with the vintage theme for this card, I added a pretty silver filigree charm to the center of the bow and frayed the ribbon tails.

A couple months ago I ordered several creativity kits containing various themed vintage papers and ephemera from Polly's Paper Studio, and this is the first project I created with any of them. I L.O.V.E. how this turned out! Vintage is always fun to do, and it helps to have gorgeous papers and ribbon to pull it off! :)

I used some of the same paper on the inside along with some roses and a stamped birthday sentiment from a GKD clear stamp set. I'm just 'tickled pink' with this and can't wait to give it someone, lol! ;)

Proud to enter this vintage birthday card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock, Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla (#101650) and Blushing Bride (#131198), Polly's Paper Studio Everything's Coming Up Roses vintage papers and ephemera
  • Stamps: GKD Birthday Greetings
  • Ink: Memento Espresso Truffle, Invilde Bolme Knotted Wood chalk ink, Ranger Antique Linen distress ink
  • Dies/Punches:
  • Accessories: RRR Baby Pink Seam Binding and Silver Metallic String, MISTI, Stampin' Up! Something Borrowed embellishments (#137855), Recollections pink Glitter Dots

Hi Leslie! I feel honored to be one of your Co-Designers at Really Reasonable Ribbon. This is absolutely STUNNING! I can't believe you still have some of that lovely Prima (pink polka dot) paper. It was always a favorite of mine, but I don't have but a snippet of it left. I just wanted to stop by and invite you to play along in these two challenges. Word Art Wednesday is my "baby" (challenge blog I run) and we are always Anything Goes/Family Friendly. Our prize this time is a $25 Simon Says Stamp certificate. You can find that challenge here: www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com - Then, there's another fun (little known) challenge at CropStop which is also Anything Goes - you can find that one here: www.cropstop.com/blog - It would be awesome to have you play along in both. You can share five projects per challenge in each. Your projects are FAB! Have a great weeek, and I hope to see you playing along in both of these fun challenges.
Blessings to you,
Karen Letchworth
