You're Simply Wonderful

** 11/3/15 Top 3 at Creative Inspirations Challenge Blog! **

Hi everyone! I'm super excited to once again be hosting over at Mod Squad Challenge Blog! We're being sponsored this week by Sparkle N Sprinkle! Come play with us - my theme is Bold and Beautiful! Let's see some beautiful bold colors on your projects!

I chose the absolutely gorgeous Bahama Woodstar image from my Sparkle N Sprinkle digi stash to create a thank you card. Hummingbirds are one of my favorite birds so I'm really partial to this image. I've been on a fancy fold binge for most of the summer then turned my attention to autumn/fall cards with the change in weather, so I've turned my focus to something a little different for this challenge - a shaker card. I absolutely love shaker cards but just don't seem to create enough of them. ;)

Green is my absolute favorite color, but green and purple is one of my all-time favorite color combos. When I decided on this image, it didn't take me long to decide on the colors I wanted to use. These yummy emboss resist background papers are from Stampin' Up! (DSP called Irresistibly Yours) and I inked the purple stripes and the green leaves with Stampin' Up! inks. The shaker contains MS hearts and stars glitter and sequins. And of course I had to add my signature big bow! ;)

I kept the inside simple as I usually do, and stamped a sentiment from the Stampin' Up! Simply Wonderful stamp set on a layered panel.

I'd love to enter this thank you card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury White and Black Onyx cardstock, Stampin' Up! Irresistibly Yours DSP
  • Stamps: Stampin' Up! Simply Wonderful stamp set
  • Ink: Stampin' Up! Perfect Plum, Stampin' Up! Always Artichoke, Memento Tuxedo Black; PL2, PL5, BP6, LV1, IG1, IG2, IG5, CT4, OR1, DG2, DG3, CG3, LG5, JG5
  • Dies/Punches: Simon Says Stamp Thanks die, Die-namics Stitched Rectangles
  • Accessories: Bow-it-All, Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkled ribbon, Stampin' Up! Basic Pearl Jewels, clear Wink of Stella, sequins, MS Iridescent Heart & Stars Glitter (purple and white)

I hope you've found some inspiration to create a project with beautiful bold colors for my challenge this week! Be sure to check out all the fun goodies at Sparkle N Sprinkle! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)

Happy Birthday

** 10/28/15 Winner at Word Art Wednesday! **

Hi everyone! I'm popping in on this nice cool morning to share my 3 Girl JAM DT inspiration project with you. This is my last DT project for 3 Girl JAM and here's a huge thanks to Julie and the rest of the DT for indulging me this year! I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed creating with all the gorgeous 3 Girl JAM ribbon, trim and vintage buttons!

I've veered quite a bit from my fancy folds and my autumn/fall projects to bring a you a birthday card today. I used the beautiful Grey-Gray crinkle ribbon from the LG Bundle. This is the most gorgeous shade of gray there ever was!

I've been using my stitched circle, rectangle and square dies A LOT lately. Just can't get enough of that clean look they give to a basic shape! I used a new GKD birthday stamp set and scattered some silver sequins. Love the birthday cake! Love that big multi-loop grey-gray bow! (Wink-wink!) ;)

I brought the black, gray and teal color scheme from the front to the inside, and stamped a wonderful birthday sentiment from the same GKD stamp set. Very happy with how this turned out!

Proud to enter this birthday card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Stampin' Up! Smoky Slate cardstock, Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock, Simple Stories DIY Boutique double-sided 6x6 paper
  • Stamps: GKD Happy Birthday To You stamp set
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Spectrum Noir- IB2
  • Dies/Punches: Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers, MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle STAX, Stitched Square STAX
  • Accessories: Bow-it-All, 3 Girl JAM Grey-Gray crinkle ribbon from the LG Bundle, clear Wink of Stella, Stampin' Up! Frosted Sequins, Stampin' Up! Basic Pearl Jewels

hello Sunshine

Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying cooler weather where you are! We have had some seriously nice weather to wake up to here in north Florida over the past few weeks and I sure have been enjoying it. I'm happy to share with you today my Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog DT inspiration project for LTSCB #64 - Anything Goes! Come play with us - we know you love some anything goes! We're being sponsored this time by SweetStamps, Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet!

I've done quite a few fun folds over the summer and several autumn/fall projects recently, so I did something entirely different for this challenge. I chose the hilarious 'Deirdery's Day Off' digi from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps for my whimsical love card! Other than the card base, I was able to construct the entire card using scraps which was definitely an awesome feeling. :)

I chuckled the entire time it took to color this image because this doll looks exactly like someone I know! I just couldn't help myself - love the image and love how this turned out! The front and inside sentiments as well as the flip flop dies are new from one of the last Paper Smooches releases and I thought they fit perfectly!

I kept the inside relatively simple with a stamped sentiment and red hearts on a layered panel.

Happy to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Spectrum Noir Ultra Premium White, GKD Charcoal Brown, Stampin' Up! Bermuda Bay, Stampin' Up! kraft scrap, K & Co. Jubilee double-sided paper, teal patterned paper scrap
  • Stamps: Dr. Digi's House of Stamps Deirdery's Day Off digital image, Paper Smooches Summer Lovin' stamp set
  • Ink: Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo, Stampin' Up! Early Espresso; Spectrum Noir- TN3, TN4, BG1, BG4, GG3, FS2, FS3, CT1, CT2, IB2, IG2, BT2, BT6, DR1
  • Dies/Punches: SB Postage Stamps die, Paper Smooches Flip Flops dies
  • Accessories: Stampin' Up! basic pearl jewels, MISTI, Glossy Accents

I hope you've found a little inspiration to create a project for our Anything Goes challenge this time! Happy Turkey Day!

Hello, my crafty friends! Hope you all are enjoying some gorgeous Fall weather like we are here in north Florida! WAHOO... I love this time of year! :) I have some great news to share - I'm guest designing for Scrapping4fun Challenges again! My 4-drawer easel card was featured about a month or so ago and the lovely Rachelle invited me to guest in Challenge #52 - Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I'm stoked to share my first Thanksgiving card of the year with you, one I created with the adorable Turkey Day digi from Bugaboo. I recently purchased this little guy to add to my digi stash. The Fall background papers are from Bearly Mine which sadly went out of business earlier this year. They are digi papers that I printed on linen cardstock for a little extra texture.

I have to say this little turkey is the cutest ever! I dressed him up with some gorgeous Really Reasonable Ribbon cotton lace and patterned ribbon from last year's August Ribbon Club Assortment. I added an oak leaf die cut for a little fall flair.

I decorated the inside with some of the Fall paper I used on the front, and the sentiment is from the Gina K Designs Bounty of Blessings stamp set. I really like how this turned out! ;)

Proud to enter this Thanksgiving card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: The Paper Cut Brown Bag cardstock, Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla cardstock, GKD Dark Chocolate cardstock, scrap of GKD Sweet Mango cardstock, Marco's Ivory Antique Linen cardstock, Bearly Mine Digital Papers- Fall Paper and Fall Paper 2
  • Stamps: Bugaboo Digi Stamps Turkey Day digital image, GKD Bounty of Blessings stamp set
  • Ink: Spectrum Noir- EB1, EB2, EB6, DR2, GB3; Memento Espresso Truffle
  • Dies/Punches: Cottage Cuts Leaf Mini die
  • Accessories: Bow-it-All, Ribbon and Lace from the RRR Colors of Autumn Collection (August 2014 Ribbon Club Assortment), brown Darice foam, red gemstones, Queen & Co. Pave Candy Shoppe red gem (thanks, Lillian!)

I hope you've found some inspiration to create a Thanksgiving themed project for our challenge this time! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)

Hello My Friend

Hi everyone! I want to shout HAPPY FALL, Y'ALL! You know autumn and fall go hand in hand. This is absolutely my favorite time of year... gives me a feeling of euphoria! I'm happy to share my 3 Girl JAM DT inspiration project using the Natural Jute Ribbon and Coffee Jute String from the Jute Ribbon and String Pack. Another autumn/fall themed project! ;)

Gold embossed leaves with a wood leaf embellishment, a variety of gorgeous autumn/fall colors of cardstock and some Bo Bunny double-sided paper give this friendship card a feeling of real autumn/fall splendor!

I stamped the sentiments on the front and fashioned a simple bow from the jute ribbon, tying a short length of Coffee Jute String around the center for interest. The front of the card was finished off with some randomly placed gold sequins.

The inside was decorated with a strip of the yummy double-sided paper used on the front, and stamped leaves and sentiment from the same stamp set.

Happy to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory, Dark Chocolate, Cherry Red, Sweet Mango and Tomato Soup cardstock; Bo Bunny Autumn Song double-sided paper, scrap of yellow cardstock
  • Stamps: GKD Autumn Leaves stamp set
  • Ink: Memento Espresso Truffle, Versamark Dazzle
  • Dies: Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers, MFT Die-namics Stitched Square Stax
  • Accessories: 3 Girl JAM Natural Jute Ribbon and Coffee Jute String from the Jute and String Pack, Ranger extra fine detail gold embossing powder, GKD Autumn Leaves wood embellishment, Darice dark brown foam, gold sequins, Glossy Accents (to apply sequins)

A Merry Little Wish...

** 10/8/15 Top 5 at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog! **
** 10/10/15 Top 3 at Crafty Friends Challenge Blog! **
** 10/19/15 Winner at All Dressed Up Challenges! **
** 10/19/15 Top 3 at All Dressed Up Challenges! **

Hi everyone! I'm excited to share with you today my Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog DT inspiration project for LTSCB #63 - Ribbon or Lace, Oh My! I managed to tackle that mile-long Christmas card list a few weeks ago and got another one marked off... just in time for the 'fall fever' to hit, lol! Come play with us - we want to see your projects with ribbon or lace, or both if you're really inspired! We're being sponsored this time by Stamps On Fire, All Dressed Up Stamps and SLS Lines!

I chose the adorable '3 Little Christmas Girls' image from my own stash of All Dressed Up Stamps to create this super cute card. This has quite a few fun layers, papers and stitched die cuts. And of course I added my signature big bow made from some gorgeous green wrinkled ribbon in keeping with our challenge theme this time.

Aren't these little girls just the cutest?! This was a fun one to color and put together. I used a new wavy stitched line die to create the snow hills beneath their little feet. ;) Loving all these fun Christmas papers! The music sheet was a free digi paper download but unfortunately it's unmarked and I don't know who to give credit to. The other three coordinating papers are from Stampin' Up!

I tried to make their headgear stand out in one way or another - made the reindeer look worn, made the little stars glow and sparkle, and used white flocking on the red and white Santa hat. I added snowflakes in the background with a white paint marker. Did I mention how much fun this was?!

I used a strip of the snowflake paper that I used on the front and stamped a simple Christmas greeting on the inside, then layered the panel on some coordinating Stampin' Up! cardstock.

I'd love to enter this sweet card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Spectrum Noir Ultra Premium white cardstock, Stampin' Up! Pear Pizzazz cardstock, Stampin' Up! Lost Lagoon cardstock, Stampin' Up! All Is Calm DSP; Come All Ye Faithful music sheet digital paper from stash
  • Stamps: All Dressed Up 3 Little Christmas Girls digi, Stampin' Up! Festival of Trees
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamarker pen; Spectrum Noir-FS2, FS3, TN3, TN4, CR8, CR11, DR3, DG2, DG3, EB3, EB6, EB8, BT2, BT4, BT5, CT4
  • Dies/Punches: Lil Inker Designs Stitched Sentiment Flag die, Paper Smooches Stitched die, Memory Box Stitched Circles,
  • Accessories: Bow-it-All, Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkled ribbon; green, clear and gold Wink of Stella pens; Sharpie white paint marker, Ranger Sticky embossing powder, Recollections white flock, red brads, clear gemstone

I hope you've found some inspiration to create a project with ribbon or lace for our challenge this time! And be sure to check out all the fun rubber stamps and digital images at Stamps On FireAll Dressed Up Stamps and SLS Lines! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)

So thankful

Hi everyone! Hope you've been enjoying some cooler weather where you are! Our summer here in north Florida was long and hot, and we sure are loving the nighttime temps we're having in the 50s! I admit to having a bad case of 'fall fever' which is definitely evident in the next few projects I'll be showcasing. ;)

I'm happy to be hosting another StampTV Weekly Challenge, and many thanks to the lovely Karen Hightower for asking me to play! My theme this week is You Have Me In Stitches - so lets see some real or faux stitching on your project, or maybe some good humor! Come play with us for a chance to win a grab bag of super awesome Gina K Designs goodies! And if you aren't a member of StampTV, come on over and join! It's free and there's always something fun going on!

I used the pretty sunflower and one of the sentiments from the GKD Harvest of Wishes mini stamp set along with a variety of gorgeous autumn/fall colors of GKD cardstock to create this fun file folder note card which is somewhat CAS. And another fun fold... you know me and the fancy fold kind of summer I've had! ;)

I cut the card base from kraft using my WRMK envelope punch board. I stamped the focal image on kraft and colored it with distress markers which really makes it pop. The flags and square and rectangle die cuts are all stitched in keeping with my challenge theme. I added several orange sequins to finish it off.

No file folder is complete without paper in it, so that's the writing space inside this note card, lol! :)

Proud to enter this note card in the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory, Cherry Red, Tomato Soup and Sweet Mango; Stampin' Up! Kraft
  • Stamps: GKD Harvest of Wishes mini stamp set
  • Ink: Memento Espresso Truffle; Ranger distress markers- Vintage Photo, Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey, Scattered Straw and Shabby Shutters
  • Dies: MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle Stax, MFT Die-namics Stitched Square Stax, Lil Linker Designs Stitched Sentiment Flag, Paper Smooches Notebook Basic
  • Accessories: We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board, Doodlebug Design Rainbow Sequins, Darice brown foam, Glossy Accents (to apply sequins)

I hope you've found a little inspiration to play in my stitches challenge this week over at StampTV! Any stamps, inks and embellishments can be used, but if you use GKD stamps exclusively, you play for a chance to win a grab bag of GKD goodies! How awesome is that?! And remember, it's free to join StampTV! Hope to see you there!
Scrappy hugs,
Leslie
