Christmas Wishes

Hi everyone! I'm happy to share with you another 3 Girl JAM DT inspiration project. I've used the absolutely gorgeous Red and Green Stripe Ribbon and Silver Cord from the Holiday Trim bundle for my Christmas Wishes flip card. These ribbons are awesome!

Flip cards are so much fun - I purchased this cut file from the Silhouette store a while back and I figured it was about time to make one! I even thought about getting a head-start on my Christmas cards! I used some pretty striped holiday papers and glittered the ornament on both sides.

Here is the card opening up.

And here is the card completely opened up with a stamped layered greeting on the inside.

Proud to enter this rather early Christmas card into the following challenges:

** 5/1/15 Top 3 Pick at KennyK's Krafty Krew! **
** 5/1/15 Featured Creation at Scrapping4fun Challenges! **

Hi everyone! Well here we are charging into the middle of April! Can you believe it?! I'm happy to share with you this morning my Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog DT inspiration project for LTSCB #52 - Anything Goes! Come on over and play with us - we know you like Anything Goes! We're being sponsored this time by Dr. Digi's House of Stamps, KennyK Downloads and The Paper Shelter!

I love fancy folds and it's been 'forever' since I created a Z-fold card so that's where my mind went when I started planning this card. And I knew what papers and embellishments I wanted to use so it went together fairly quickly. I even used a few scraps from that ever-growing scrap bin! Woo-hoo! That's always such a good feeling!

I used the adorable OMG digital image from KennyK Downloads. I love this image and knew exactly which stamp sets I was going to use when I saw it!

I turned this into a belated birthday card. We all have those 'oops' moments when we realize we've forgotten a friend's birthday, don't we (wink-wink)?!

I added a stitched circle die cut on the left side to use as an area for writing/signing since the paper is so busy. ;)

And here's a final view from the top.

I'd love to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory and Fresh Asparagus cardstock; assorted cardstock scraps, My Mind's Eye Notable 6x6 papers
  • Stamps: KennyK Downloads OMG digital image, GKD Let's Talk stamp set, GKD Birthday Greetings stamp set
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Spectrum Noir- EB1, EB2, OR2, OR3, BT3, BT4, BT5, FS2, FS3, PP1, PP2
  • Dies: Spellbinders Classic Ovals and Scalloped Ovals, Memory Box Stitched Circles, Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Sentiment Flag
  • Accessories: Doodlebug Design Inc. Tangerine Sprinkles, Imaginisce blue gemstones, Kaiser Craft Confetti sticker, Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkled ribbon

I hope you've been inspired enough to create a project for our Anything Goes challenge! Be sure to visit Dr. Digi's House of StampsKennyK Downloads and The Paper Shelter - I know without a shadow of a doubt that you'll find something you just can't live without! You're Too Kind

Hi everyone! We're well into spring here in north Florida - no more even remotely cool temps here, that's for sure! I created the amazing background on this thank you note card by stamping on photo paper with an acrylic block, and what deep rich color this turned out to be! I discovered this technique last summer and have used it several times... it  is sooo much fun - you really need to give it a try! I used the Stampin' Up! Too Kind stamp set and several Stampin' Up! ink pads for this project.

I inked up a 4x6 acrylic block with Perfect Plum ink, spritzed it with water in a mini mister and then stamped it on a 4x6 piece of photo paper. I let it dry thoroughly, spritzed it with a handmade Perfect Pearls mist and let it dry again. I always keep white Perfect Pearl mixed with water in a mini mister on hand because it gives projects such a pretty shimmer.

I stamped the blooms in Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum, and the stems in Garden Green. I cut two sides of the focal image at angles and layered it on Elegant Eggplant cardstock and then again on silver mirror cardstock. I layered the background on silver mirror cardstock and adhered it to an Elegant Eggplant card base, then adhered the stamped panel to the front, lining up the left side and bottom. I added some large purple flat-back pearls to the upper right corner. I stamped the greeting in Elegant Eggplant and randomly placed some silver sequins.

I stamped two flowers on the inside, stamping off twice before stamping on the cardstock, and leaving the remainder of the panel blank to write a thank-you note.

Proud to enter my thank you note card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Whisper White (#100730), Elegant Eggplant (#105126), Marco's Silver Mirror cardstock, Epson photo paper
  • Stamps: Too Kind (#130450)
  • Ink: Wisteria Wonder (#126985), Perfect Plum (#126963), Elegant Eggplant (#1126969), Garden Green (#126973)
  • Accessories: Perfect Pearl handmade mist, Darice 5mm sequins, large purple flat-back pearls

I hope you've enjoyed this project using the beautiful Too Kind stamp set! Thanks so much for stopping by - we'll see you next time! ;)

Sending Wishes Your Way

Hi everyone! I've been playing again and am super stoked to share a watercolor note card that I created with several stamps from the Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics stamp set! Oh, what fun this was! I love, love, love this stamp set because it's so versatile and can be used for a variety of occasions. I left the inside of this one blank to use as a note card but it could easily be tailored for birthday, anniversary or get well.

I embossed the flower in white embossing powder on watercolor cardstock. I used several distress inks and a Niji water brush to 'paint' the image, and then slathered ink-tinged water in a diagonal fashion across the background. I hit it with a heat tool for a few seconds to dry it.

I stamped the small butterfly in Cajun Craze ink on a white scrap and punched it out with the Bitty Butterfly punch, then stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze. I layered the panel with Stampin' Dimensionals on a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock, then adhered it to the Whisper White card base. That's literally it! Super easy! ;)

I'd love to enter this watercolor note card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Whisper White (#100730), Cajun Craze (#119684), Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor cardstock
  • Stamps: Butterfly Basics (#137154)
  • Ink: Cajun Craze (#126965); Ranger Distress Ink- Mowed Lawn, Shabby Shutters, Rusty Hinge and Dried Marigold
  • Accessories: Bitty Butterfly Punch (#129406), Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430), Hero Arts white embossing powder, Niji Water Brush

I hope you've enjoyed this project using stamps from the amaaazing Butterfly Basics stamp set! Thanks so much for stopping by - we'll see you next time! ;)

If I had a flower

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! They sure seem like they roll around really fast these days! I'm definitely not complaining, though, because I sure do love my weekends! LOL! I'm super happy to share with you another 3 Girl JAM DT inspiration project, my 'If I had a flower' note card. I think you can tell that I'm ready for some spring weather with blooming flowers! I've used the absolutely gorgeous Gold Crown hand-dyed crinkle ribbon from the Royal Bundle and a Vintage Button. These sure are some a.w.e.s.o.m.e. products!

I created the background by stamping four different flowers from the Stampin' Up! Flower Shop stamp set in different color inks randomly on pink dotted paper. I layered it on some coordinating paper and stitched it in a wavy and haphazard fashion with my tiny little craft sewing machine, then adhered it to a pink card base.

I stamped the same four flowers once each on white cardstock and punched them with the Stampin' Up! Pansy Punch to create the cluster across the top, and added some leaf die cuts from my stash. I created a multi-loop bow from the gorgeous Gold Crown ribbon and finished it with several loops of gold thread and a vintage button.

I stamped the sentiment on pink cardstock that matched the card base, cut it with a SB die and layered it on a slightly larger die cut. I left the inside blank to use as a note card, and simply layered a white panel on a dark pink panel and adhered it to the card base.

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Bubblegum Pink and White, DCWV Multi-Stack Reds, Marco's Venicelux Gold Metallic, Kaiser Craft Confetti double-sided paper
  • Stamps: Stampin' Up! Flower Shop stamp set
  • Ink: Stampin' Up! Strawberry Slush, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist and Crushed Curry
  • Dies/Punches: Spellbinders Curved A2 Matting Basics A & B, Stampin' Up! Pansy Punch
  • Accessories: 3 Girl JAM Gold Crown ribbon from the Royal Bundle and Vintage Button, gold thread, Lil Sew & Sew, leaf die cuts from stash, tiny white flat-back pearls

I hope you've enjoyed this flowery springy project! Be sure to stop by the 3 Girl JAM store to check out all the fun crafty goodies! And remember to use code LT10 to get 10% off your entire order! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)

Happy Birthday To You

** 5/1/15 Top 5 at Crafts Galore Encore Challenges! **
** 5/2/15 Top 3 at Fan-Tastic Tuesday! **

Hi everyone! I'm happy to share with you today a birthday card using the Stampin' Up! Truly Grateful and Tag Talk stamp sets. The background was created with stamps from the Truly Grateful stamp set. I randomly stamped the wood in Memento Espresso Truffle ink, the wheat in VersaMagic Mango Madness ink and then again in Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink, the tree trunk in Memento Rich Cocoa ink, and finally the acorn in Memento Espresso Truffle ink. I adhered the background to a dark chocolate cardstock base.

The birthday sentiment is from the Tag Talk stamp set, stamped in Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink and punched out with the Label Bracket punch. I layered it with Stampin' Dimensionals on a small square piece of ivory cardstock and a slightly larger piece of the dark chocolate cardstock. I tucked a piece of folded gold organdy ribbon on the left side, then affixed it to the background, slightly to the right of center. I finished the front by adding a few gold sequins on the left side with a tiny drop of Liquid Pearls in the center of each.

For the inside, I stamped each of the elements once, then adhered the panel to the inside of the card base. I left the inside blank to write my own birthday message.

Would love to enter this birthday card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/paper: GKD Pure Luxury ivory and dark chocolate cardstock
  • Stamps: SU Truly Grateful (#131733), SU Tag Talk (#134252)
  • Ink: Memento Espresso Truffle, Rhubarb Stalk, Rich Cocoa; VersaMagic Mango Madness
  • Accessories: SU Label Bracket Punch (#132153); Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) gold organdy ribbon; 5mm gold sequins; Bisque Liquid Pearls

Have a Boot Scootin' Good Time!

** 4/13/15 Highlight at Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog! **
** 4/20/15 Featured Creation at Scrapping4fun Challenges! **

Hi everyone! Hard to believe we're embracing April already! OMG, time is really flying by! I'm happy to share my Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog DT inspiration project for LTSCB #51 - Dots or Stripes! Come play with us! We're being sponsored this time by Kith and Kin Stamp Co., Pattie's Creations and Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet!

I chose the coolest of cool Western Boots digi from Pattie's Creations for my 'boot scootin' birthday card. Quite by accident, I achieved a worn suede look on these boots and am really happy with how this card turned out. I used some tan denim paper for the background and several scraps from the scrap bin to make the stripes.

A western themed card is not complete without a lariat so I fashioned one from some twine. :) I also added some square eyelets in the lower right corner.

I'm in love with my computer-generated sentiment! It's perfect! LOL!

I continued the stripes on the inside, a little more vertical than the front to allow some room to write, then stamped Happy Birthday in dark brown ink.

Proud to enter this birthday card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory and Dark Chocolate cardstock; kraft, textured brown and blue cardstock scraps; tan denim paper
  • Stamps: Pattie's Creations Western Boots digi, Hero Arts Type stamp set
  • Ink: Memento Espresso Truffle ink; Spectrum Noir- GB8, GB10, EB8, IG1, Blender pen
  • Dies: Memory Box Stitched Circles, Spellbinders Classic Circles
  • Accessories: MISTI, Fun Foam, bronze eyelets, twine

I hope you've found a little inspiration and will create a project with dots or stripes for our challenge this time! And be sure to go by and visit Stitchy Bear's Digi OutletPattie's Creations and Kith and Kin Stamp Co. to check out all the fun stuff! Sending Love and Sympathy

Hi everyone! Happy April Fool's Day... gonna play any jokes on anybody?! I'd LOVE to play one on my hubby but haven't been able to come up with just the right one! LOL! I'm happy to share with you today a card using some Stampin' Up! products. This went together very quickly, as I already had the pieces and parts. Several months ago, I made a bunch of shaving cream and alcohol ink backgrounds - several yellow and green, and several pink and purple. My hubby was enthralled with this technique and actually gave it a thumbs up! Teeheehee! Then several weeks ago, when I created the note card sets using the Stampin' Up! Lotus Blossom stamp set, I somehow wound up with an extra image stamped in Crushed Curry. I think you can definitely see where this is headed...

I created a pretty gold infused sympathy card using one of the yellow and green shaving cream backgrounds and the Lotus Blossom image. I cut both of these elements with SB Curved Matting Basics dies, then layered them on gold mirror cardstock, cut with slightly larger dies from the same set.

I punched a flag from a scrap of dark yellow cardstock and created a pretty double-loop bow from some narrow yellow satin ribbon. I used both of the sentiment stamps from the Love & Sympathy stamp set. I heat embossed the front sentiment in gold.

I stamped the inside sentiment in Always Artichoke ink and layered the panel on a scrap of yellow cardstock.

I'd love to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Whisper White (#100730), Crushed Curry (#131199), Marco's Gold Mirror, yellow cardstock scraps
  • Stamps: Lotus Blossom (#139143), Love & Sympathy (#122797)
  • Ink: Always Artichoke (#126972), Versamark
  • Dies: Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics A & B, Classic Ovals
  • Accessories: Ranger gold embossing powder, EK Success Flag punch, Martha Stewart Flower Shower punch, Ellen Hutson yellow satin ribbon

I hope you've enjoyed this project today created with two absolutely beautiful Stampin' Up! stamp sets - Lotus Blossom and Love & Sympathy. Thanks so much for stopping by - we'll see you next time! ;)
Hugs,
Leslie
