LTSCB "We're Turning Two" Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! The Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog is turning TWO this month! To celebrate, we're excited to bring you our "We're Turning Two" Blog Hop! We're being sponsored by AuroraWings! Come hop with us for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the AuroraWings Etsy Shop!

As you hop, collect letters at each stop and be sure to leave each designer some love. Once you have collected all the letters, unscramble them and email your guess to ltscb@mail.com - then all the correct guesses will be entered into the drawing for the Aurora Wings gift certificate!

All of the LTSCB designers are using 'two of something' on our inspiration projects. Everyone participating in the blog hop is invited to link up a project using 'two of something' for an EXTRA entry into the drawing! **Be sure to use the same email address to email your guess and to link up your project so we can make sure you're given two entries into the drawing!**

Let me get you side-tracked for a minute to showcase my project! I chose the absolutely gorgeous (and I mean gorgeous) Oriental Poppy digital image for my friendship card. I fell in love with this image the second I saw it! And I've been enthralled with wonky angles on my cards lately so I wanted to incorporate one on this card. So, to conform to our challenge criteria, I used two patterned papers, two groups of three flat-back pearls and two large/two small loops on each side of the big bow.

I used light and dark teal-ish colors for my overall design which I thought looked awesome with the pop of red on the image that I cut out with my Silhouette. I thoroughly enjoyed coloring this... getting some more practice in with my Spectrum Noir markers which I absolutely L.O.V.E.!

I added my signature big bow with some looped silver thread on top for a little interest. And is that sentiment perfect with this 'corner' image, or what?!

I kept the inside simple, as I generally do, with just a stamped friendship sentiment on a layered panel.

Proud to enter this thank you card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Spectrum Noir Premium White cardstock, Graphic 45 Botanical Tea 6x6 papers, Tim Holtz Kraft Core Nostalgic Collection
  • Stamps: AuroraWings Oriental Poppy digital image; GKD Flowers Bloom and Botanicals stamp sets
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Spectrum Noir- CR8, CR11, DR5, DG2, DG3, DG4
  • Dies: Spellbinders Matting Basics A & B dies
  • Accessories: Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkled ribbon, silver thread, YNS Silver Gumdrops, tiny flat-back pearls

Okay, back to the Blog Hop! My letters are D and 2. Well, the 2 is a number, but it goes with the rest of the letters, so don't leave it out when you unscramble them! ;)

Here are your blog hop stops:
Leslie (you're here!)

We hope you are enjoying the hop and if you get lost along the way - or if you landed here in the middle of the hop and want to join in the fun - head over to the Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog to read all the details and start from the beginning! Happy Hopping!
Big Hugs,
Leslie

Wedding gift tag

Hi everyone! It's time for another fun challenge over at 3 Girl JAM! I'm super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for our April Anything Goes with Ribbon challenge! Come play with us! You could be the proud winner of a $15 gift certificate to the 3 Girl JAM store! Before I get to my project, let me tell you about this month's special offer - with any regular price purchase made in April, you can add the amazing Spring Flowers Bundle (Daffodil and Iris) to your cart for just $1.00! Yep, you read that right... $1.00! Use the code APRIL to take advantage of this awesome deal!

It's been a while since I made a tag so I thought it was time. I created a pretty wedding gift tag using the ever-so-gorgeous Grey-Gray ribbon from the LG Bundle. OMG, this is some pretty ribbon! I used several techniques - stenciling, embossing and paper piecing.

I started with a white tag, a mini dots stencil and some Memento Gray Flannel ink, and created the dotted background. I inked the edges of the tag in the gray ink. I fashioned a big beautiful bow and affixed it to the tag along with a loop at the top. I stamped the gifts and sentiment in Versamark and embossed them with fine detail silver embossing powder.

I stamped the gifts a second time in Versamark on gray shimmer cardstock and embossed them in the silver embossing powder. I cut them out and pieced them onto the tag, then added some silver nail heads across the bottom. It really doesn't get much easier than this! :)

I'd love to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Paper Reflections medium white tag; DCWV gray shimmer cardstock
  • Stamps: GKD A Gfit For You stamp duo
  • Ink: Memento Gray Flannel, Versamark
  • Accessories: 3 Girl JAM Grey-Gray crinkled ribbon from the LG Bundle, Memory Box Mini Dots stencil, SweetStamps fine detail silver embossing powder, Mark Richards silver nail heads

I hope you've found some inspiration to create a project for our Anything Goes with Ribbon challenge this month! And I do hope you'll stop by the 3 Girl JAM store to check out the wonderful array of fun crafty goodies and take advantage of the April special! Thanks so much for stopping by today! ;)

Fabulous Friend

** 4/6/15 Design Team Favorite at Loves Rubberstamps! **

Hi everyone! I'm happy to share a 3 Girl JAM DT inspiration project with you today, my Fabulous Friend note card. I used the absolutely gorgeous Mint hand-dyed crinkle ribbon from the NEW Tie Die 3 Bundle and vintage button.

I recently won an awesome Vintage clear stamp set. I used one of the images in that set to create my own emboss resist damask type background. I first stamped the images in Teal Zeal, then stamped a second time to clear emboss on top of the colored ink. The final step was to sponge Pear Tart, Bamboo Leaves and Teal Zeal over the entire background before layering it on navy blue cardstock. Clear embossing over top of colored ink and then sponging additional colors is such a fun technique! If you offset the Versamark stamping just a hair, it really gives it some depth!

I stamped the sentiment and then it's border on a scrap in Bamboo Leaves, and then stamped a second time to clear emboss on top of the colored ink. I fussy cut around the border and affixed the sentiment to the front with thick 3-D foam pads. I created the fabulous multi-loop bow with the Mint crinkle ribbon and adhered a vintage button to the center. I left the layered panel on the inside blank to write my own sentiment.

I'd love to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory and Navy cardstock
  • Stamps: Rayher Hobbykunst Vintage stamp set, GKD Poster Board Sentiments
  • Ink: Memento Teal Zeal, Bamboo Leaves and Pear Tart; Versamark
  • Accessories: 3 Girl JAM Mint crinkle ribbon from the Tie Dye 3 Bundle, 3GJ vintage button, Ranger clear embossing powder

Be sure to stop by the 3 Girl JAM store to check out all the fun crafty goodies! And remember to use code LT10 to get 10% off your entire order! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)

Kindness note card

** 4/7/15 Featured Creation at Scrapping4fun Challenges! **

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great weekend! Spring is finally upon us and the weather is warming up here in north Florida. I'm happy to share with you today a pretty one-layer thank you note card I created with the Stampin' Up! Kinda Eclectic stamp set and coordinating butterfly punches. OMG, another set that I just love!

Stampin' Up! never disappoints - you can always count on all the stamps in each set coordinating so it's always easy to pull a card together. This one was super easy (my favorite kind) and only took a few minutes. I created a top-fold card base from Crumb Cake cardstock and inked the edges (front and inside). I stamped the sun in Crushed Curry ink in the top left corner, then randomly stamped the rows of small circles across the bottom in Sahara Sand ink after stamping off once. Next, I inked up the leaves stamp in Mossy Meadow ink, stamped off once, then stamped twice in the lower left corner without re-inking. I repeated that process in the upper right corner. Then I stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner in Cherry Cobbler ink.

I stamped both butterflies in the Cherry Cobbler ink, and punched the small one out with the Bitty Butterfly punch and the larger one with the Elegant Butterfly punch. I added some clear Wink of Stella to both butterflies for some shimmer and affixed them to the front with narrow pieces of a Stampin Dimensional. I wrapped some natural twine around the card twice and tied it in a bow, adding a small dot of Multi Medium Matte adhesive to the back of the bow to adhere it to the card.

On the inside, I stamped the leaves twice as I did on the front, along with a butterfly, and left the remainder blank to write a thank-you note.

I'd love to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Crumb Cake (#120953)
  • Stamps: Kinda Eclectic (#135350)
  • Ink: Crushed Curry (#131173), Sahara Sand (#126976), Mossy Meadow (#133645), Cherry Cobbler (#126966)
  • Accessories: Bitty Butterfly Punch (#129406), Elegant Butterfly Punch (#127526), clear Wink of Stella, natural twine, Multi Medium Matte

I hope you've enjoyed this project using the Kinda Eclectic stamp set! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone! I'm back today to share a pretty birthday card I created with the super awesome Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics stamp set! OMG, I LOVE this stamp set! I also used the Hardwood background stamp and the Butterflies Thinlits dies. I'm really pleased with how this turned out! The Hardwood stamp makes an amazing background!

I'm getting more and more practice in with my Spectrum Noir markers, and as I've said a thousand times... I LOVE the way these blend! The colors are so rich and gorgeous. I layered the focal image on a pretty die cut and gold embossed the birthday sentiment on a hand-cut flag.

This butterfly is my favorite... I layered a glittered butterfly on top of the absolutely gorgeous gold filigree butterfly and then added some glittered gumdrops to the body.

I stamped the caterpillar/butterfly sentiment on a layered panel on the inside. I love butterflies and what they represent... life is a constant process, and people blossom and change. :)

Proud to enter this birthday card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Very Vanilla (#101650), Early Espresso (#119686), Marco's Gold Mirror cardstock

  • Dies: Butterflies Thinlits (#137360), Spellbinders Classic Ovals and Scalloped Ovals
  • Accessories: Ranger gold embossing powder, Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkled ribbon, YNS Purple Glittered Gumdrops

I hope you've enjoyed this project using the amazing Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics stamp set and the awesome Hardwood background stamp! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)

to a great Friend

Hi everyone! I'm happy to share my *warm weather* project with you - my Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog DT inspiration project for LTSCB #50 - Anything Goes! We're being sponsored this time by All Dressed Up Stamps, yours truly and DRS Designs! Come play with us - we know you love Anything Goes! ;)

I chose the Little Best Friends digi by Elisabeth Bell Designs for my step card. And I have to be honest... I have no clue in this world where I found the measurements for this step card. I found a white one on my scrap table which was with a digital image I bought and printed about a year ago! LOL! So I flattened that sucker out and replicated it in ivory! So fun!

Isn't this image just absolutely adorable?! I know with so many gorgeous winter projects we're seeing, it's nice to see one depicting beach weather! I just love it! I colored the image and added some sugar sand for a little dimension. I cut it with a square die and matted it on a glitter silk cardstock fancy die cut. I popped flourish and bow die cuts on the left side along with the sentiment, also cut with a die and matted on a pretty die cut.

I completed this adorable step card with a silver crab charm and some teal Gumdrops.

I'd love to enter this step card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury Ivory and Cherry Red cardstock; Core'dinations Glitter Silk cardstock; scraps of K & Co. paper (but I'm not sure which - sorry!)
  • Stamps: Stampin' Up! Simply Wonderful
  • Ink: Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo; Spectrum Noir: BT4, TN1, TN3, TN5, CR6, F3, F7, BGR1, BGR2
  • Dies: Spellbinders Fleur de Lis, Classic Squares and Classic Ovals; Magnolia Doohickey Swirl; Impression Obsession Small Bow
  • Accessories: sink of Stella silver fine point pen, SweetStamps sugar sand, Martha Stewart crab charm, YNS teal Gumdrops

Be sure to check out all the fun goodies at the All Dressed Up Stamps and DRS Designs shops! I know you'll find something you just can't live without! ;) Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Lotus Blossom Note Cards

Hi everyone! I'm back today to share an array of gorgeous note cards I created with the new Stampin' Up! Lotus Blossom stamp set! I fell in love with this set the minute I saw it! It's definitely a "must have" and it's available for free (yep, you read that right) January 6th through March 31st! For every $50 you spend (before tax and shipping), you get a free product from the Sale-A-Bration catalog! I'd love it if you'd shop with me HERE! ;)

I did the assembly-line thing... started by creating 18 top-fold card bases from Whisper White cardstock. Next, I used the #4 die in the SB A2 Matting Basics A die set to cut 18 panels of Whisper White to stamp on. Then I cut mats from Island Indigo, Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Perfect Plum and Rose Red cardstock (three of each) using the #3 die from the SB A2 Matting Basics B die set.

This stamp set is a three-step stamping process using one stamp pad but achieving the look of three shades of ink. Oh, it's so cool! I'll demonstrate stamping one of the trios, since the process is the same for all of them. I held each panel in place with a post-it note and marked the center. There is a tab at the top of each of the three stamps to line them up when stamping. I inked up the smallest image and stamped it full-strength.

I inked up the medium image next, stamped off once on scrap paper to lighten the color of the ink, then stamped on top of the first image. It's starting to take shape! ;)

Then finally I inked up the largest stamp, stamped off twice on scrap paper to lighten the color of the ink just a little more, then stamped on top of the first and second images. Aren't these just gorgeous, like water color?! Love, love, love!

I stamped the stems in Always Artichoke, and then the sentiments in the same ink as the flower images. The sentiment on the bottom is from the Lotus Blossom stamp set. The sentiments on the top and right are from the Six Sided Sampler stamp set. Then, once all the stamping was finished, I layered the focal images on the coordinating color of cardstock and adhered the panels to the card bases.

I repeated the process for the rest of the cards in each color, and then assembled the sets. Here is a complete set.

And here is the set tucked into a clear box with a ribbon, ready for giving! And I forgot to include the envelopes for the photo! LOL! How's that for a pretty little gift (with the envelopes, of course)?! :)

I'd love to enter this set of note cards into the following challenges:

hello my friend

** 4/1/15 Top 3 at Imagination Crafts Challenge Blog! **

Hi everyone! I'm happy to share with you another 3 Girl JAM DT inspiration project! I absolutely loved using up scraps to create my 'hello note card' a few weeks back... so much so that I decided to create another one using the same technique and that amazing hello script die!

I created this card in teal and brown vintage (another fav color combo) with inked scraps and an inlaid die cut. I used the absolutely gorgeous London Blue ribbon from the Wine and Jewels Bundle along with the Hot Chocolate ribbon from the Hot and Cold Bundle. I also used some Light and Bright lace and a vintage button. Definitely doin' up the 3 Girl JAM thing! ;)

This is my first-ever project with an inlaid die cut, and I just love it! Super easy and so much fun! ;)

I love the blue and brown ribbon together, and the vintage button in the center of the bow is the perfect touch!

And look at this gorgeous lace! Another perfect touch to this vintage card! Love it! ;)

I left the inside basically blank (to use as a note card), simply stamping two words which are a continuation of the front die cut sentiment.

Proud to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Marco's Brown Bag cardstock, GKD Charcoal Brown cardstock, Tim Holtz Kraft Core Nostalgic Collection, Graphic 45 Botanical Tea 6x6 scraps
  • Stamps: GKD Autumn Leaves (inside)
  • Ink: Ranger Antique Linen distress ink, Memento Espresso Truffle ink
  • Dies: Mama Elephant Hello Script die
  • Accessories: All 3 Girl JAM- London Blue ribbon from the Wine and Jewels Bundle, Hot Chocolate from the Hot and Cold Bundle, Light and Bright Lace, and Vintage Button

I hope you've enjoyed this project today. Be sure to stop by the 3 Girl JAM store to check out all the fun crafty goodies! And remember to use code LT10 to get 10% off your entire order! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I Love You

Hi everyone! Can you believe it's March already?! Just like last year at this time, I said it'll be Christmas before we know it, and buddy it sure was! :) I'm super stoked to share my Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog DT inspiration project for LTSCB #49 - Buttons & Bows! We're being sponsored this time by A Day For Daisies, Bugaboo Digi Stamps and Limited Runs Stamps! Come play with us - we want to see your project with at least one button and one bow, or more if you'd like!

I chose the absolutely adorable I Love You Girl Trio from Bugaboo Digi Stamps for my project. Isn't this just the cutest image ever?! I really enjoyed creating this!

I used some really fun papers, layering all the elements on black cardstock. I love my Spellbinders dies and use them quite frequently, and this project is no different with the oval and labels die cuts. And of course, our challenge is to create a project with at least one button and one bow. I'm covered with six buttons and two bows! ;)

I kept the inside simple, as I generally do, stamping the sentiment in black. I L.O.V.E. this sentiment and it was so appropriate for this card!

Happy to enter this card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • Cardstock/Paper: GKD Pure Luxury White, Cherry Red and Black cardstock; GKD Garden Tour 6x6 patterned papers
  • Stamps: Bugaboo Digi Stamps (front image); GKD Fabulous Holiday Fillers (inside sentiment)
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink; Spectrum Noir: FS1, FS2, FS3, GB1, IB1, IB2, EB2, EB6, CR11
  • Dies: Spellbinders Classic Ovals and Labels Eighteen
  • Accessories: Clear Wink of Stella, buttons, gold thread, Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkled ribbon, Commotion Almost Leather

I hope you've found some inspiration to create a project using at least one button and one bow to play in our challenge this time! And be sure to visit A Day For DaisiesBugaboo Digi Stamps and Limited Runs Stamps to see what kind of fun crafty goodies you can find (wink-wink)! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!
Hugs,
Leslie
