Merry & Bright

I spent a some time in the scrap room today making a few Christmas cards. The hubby left Friday to work out of town for a couple days, so I had the whole day to myself. I created a couple fun shadow box cards - a nativity scene and a winter village scene - for my boss and a co-worker which I created with Silhouette cut files. So, when I was done with them, I got out some ornament dies, alcohol inks and UTEE, and created a CAS mixed media Christmas card in non-traditional colors. Wow, what a bright and shiny ornament!

And you know the entire time I sang "White Christmas" in my head... "may your days be merry and bright..." So of course I HAD to use the sheet music embossing folder!

And here's a peek at the inside - a simple sentiment stamped in the tangerine ink. Had to keep the non-traditional color thing going! ;)

I'm happy to enter this card into the following challenges:

  • GKD Pure Luxury White cardstock; Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock; orange cardstock (old stash)
  • GKD Merry & Bright stamp set duo (front sentiment)
  • GKD Winter Cheer (inside sentiment)
  • Spellbinders Mix-n-Match Ornaments dies
  • Tim Holtz distressing tool and felt pad
  • Ranger Adirondack alcohol ink - Sunset Orange, Sunshine Yellow, Lettuce and Gold Mixative
  • Versamark
  • UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel)
  • Memento Tangelo ink
  • GKD gold cording
  • Darice Sheet Music embossing folder
  • Orange Queen & Co. Goosebumps gemstones
  • Large yellow flat-back pearl

Well, this is it from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by - we'll see you next time! ;)

This is fabulous! I love the colors in this and the glossy effect of the ornament (I guess that's from the UTEE. Had to look that one up). CAS and very beautiful.
