Shop Til' You Drop

** 2/10/14 Winner at Your Next Stamp! **
** 1/26/14 Highlight at Use Your Stuff! **

Hello! I'm busting at the seams to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #22 - Tag, You're It! We're being sponsored by Your Next Stamp! Come play with us! We want to see your project with a tag - either a tag as your project or a tag on your project! My tag is nestled among all the goodies exploding from the box! ;)

I used the super cute YNS Shop Til' You Drop clear stamp set for my pop-up box card. I saw this tutorial in a recent Splitcoast Stampers newsletter (tutorial HERE) - fell in love with it and just had to try it! This is definitely the fanciest fold I've ever attempted! LOL. I had the best time picking out die cuts, chipboard and flowers to go with the YNS shopper image that was just perfect for this project!

I used burgundy cardstock with a couple coordinating pink, orange, yellow and burgundy papers from one of my favorite paper pads to create the box.

I colored the image to match the colors in the papers and matted her on a tiny receipt.

What girl wouldn't want to shop for shoes and purses?! A huge thank you to my sister for the awesome boot, shoe and purse die cuts in my stash. They couldn't have come in more handy!

Here is another type of purse die cut along with a matching shoe.

The heart-shaped tag features another matching shoe and purse, a clock (don't we always lose track of time while shopping?!) and some chipboard hearts.

Here's another angle of the tag along with some flowers and tickets (to see a show while out shopping perhaps!).

And the best part is that this box folds flat for mailing, even with all the stuff in it! I did have hold it down with a clear ruler to make it completely flat in order to take this pic. ;)

I'd love to enter this adorable little pop-up box card into the following challenges:

Recipe:
  • GKD Pure Luxury white cardstock; burgundy cardstock from stash; Heartfelt Creations clear cardstock
  • Papers from Recollections Bold Basics paper pad
  • YNS Shop Til' You Drop clear stamp set
  • Memento Tuxedo Black ink
  • Copics: Y17, E00/07/33/51, YR01/15/18, R89/85, YG17
  • Boot, shoe and purse die cuts; large heart die cut
  • Prima flowers
  • Clock charm
  • Receipt and ticket ephemera
  • Chipboard hearts

I hope you've found a little inspiration to create a tag project for our challenge! To jump-start your mojo, be sure to visit Your Next Stamp to check out all the fun stamps and crafting goodies! Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time! ;)
Hugs,

What an absolutely stunning and clever project! I love the subject matter (being a little too fond of shopping myself) and I adore how you made this piece dimensional and literally popping with life! What a neat structural idea and I really enjoyed looking at all the clever components you incorporated. You have truly inspired and I'm so glad you shared this work of art with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog!
