Retro Thank You Cards (CAS)

Time sure is getting away from me these days - there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in a day! This was a busy long weekend and we got a lot done, but it went by so fast! Poof, it's gone and back to work tomorrow! Ughhh! ;)

With it being so close to Thanksgiving (my favorite holiday) and an overwhelming feeling of thankfulness and being truly blessed, I created two sets of retro Thank You cards today using the Blockheads Verses-Retro stamp set. I am really digging this stamp set as well as Blockheads Retro Shapes! This first set of Thank You cards is for our CAS Technique Challenge hosted by design teammate Karen McAlpine. Come play with us! Visit the Blockheads CAS Cards technique page to check out Karen's tutorial. To take our challenge the traditional way via your blog, create your own project, create a blog post and link back to the Blockheads CAS Technique Challenge blog post by November 21st for a chance to win a $25 Blockheads gift certificate! The winner will be selected by our design team.

It's not a  requirement, but if you want to include the code snippet to make it a blog hop and show thumbnails of all participants' projects, use this link code:
<!-- start InLinkz script -->
<script type="text/javascript" src=""></script>
<!-- end InLinkz script -->

[To enter this code after composing your post, switch to HTML editing mode by clicking the HTML button on the top left of your post, paste the code immediately following the HTML code already created by Blogger and click the Compose button again.]

Note: If you use WordPress, which won't allow script tags, use this code:
<!--start InLinkz script -->
<a href=""><img style="border:0px"
<!-- end InLinkz script -->

There's another way to take our challenge if you don't have a blog, and that is via our Facebook group! You'll need to join if you're not already a member, then all you need to do is post an image of your project on the group's wall by November 21st. The Facebook winner will get to pick out any 4" x 5" set of Blockheads stamps on cling cushion, and there are some awesome stamps to choose from!

I created four white 4.25" square card bases and set them aside. I cut four 4-1/8" squares from red cardstock and four 4" squares from white cardstock. Using one of the stamps from the Blockheads Verses-Retro stamp set, I stamped Thank You across the bottom of each of the four white cardstock squares with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then matted each of the stamped white squares onto a red cardstock square. I adhered the matted units to the card bases and finished them with three black flat-back pearls in the upper right corner. Super simple! And I love the red and black together! These could even be used as formal thank you notes.

Stay tuned for another post showcasing the other set of retro Thank You cards I made today!

Thanks so much for stopping by - see you next time! ;)
